Civil Rights Student Film Contest - Civil Rights 2.0

Youth political involvement and voter turnout this year has broken every stereotype about young people being apathetic. The Millennial Generation has shown that they are thinking about, and taking action on, politics and civil rights in new and creative ways. Civil Rights 2.0 will give these young people a platform to highlight their work, as well as what civil rights issues most concern them today.
Civil Rights 2.0 will be hosted on YouTube, and asks youth between the ages of 16 to 25 to make a 30 second to two minute video answering the question: What are you and your generation doing for civil rights today?
Entries will be judged by The National Campaign to Restore Civil Rights staff and a panel of celebrity judges. Present judges include MTV News Correspondent, and former America’s Next Top Model contestant, Kim Stolz, and award-winning filmmaker Stanley Nelson.
The contest winner will win a trip to New York City, a two night stay in the city, and media training. Three runner-ups will win video cameras. The top videos will be played at events and gatherings throughout the summer.
