Quietness, activities, books oh yeah! If you ask me where my favorite place in my hometown is I’d have to say the Jefferson County Public Library. I have many reasons why I like the library so much, but I’m only going to tell you my top three of those reasons. To start off with, I love the way the library is so quiet all of the time. When I am in the library I can think. I can also hear myself thinking inside of my head, which I can’t do at my house. I have the quietness to think things through. All that you can hear is the crisp whispers of the people around you and to me it feels so soothing! Also the people that are visiting the library are respectful and not screaming and running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Next, I absolutely love all of the fun activities that they have at the library. They have all sorts of fun things to do at the library that kids can do. For example, the summer reading program. Some people think that reading over the summer is a waste of there time and boring. I think that the Jefferson County Public Library summer reading program would change their minds about reading. With the summer reading program you can win prizes like candy, toys, and tickets for bowling and Heritage Square and all sorts of other tickets. When you read for 8 hours you can get a free book. They have all sorts of fun activities but it would take a long time to list them all. They have a long list of activities on a sheet of paper, which you could participate in.
Last but not least, my third reason for my favorite place in my hometown being the Jefferson County Public Library is that they have a lot of books and tapes that you can check out. They have all sorts of books and tapes for all ages. They have a kid’s section for books that you can find books from ages 4 to 13. Those books are pretty easy read. Then there is the section for teens and adults. Those books are harder and more complicated. The adult and teens section is bigger but still easy to find books because they have a large group of librarians to help you out. The tapes and movies section is quite big and they have many choices. I love to get the movies and tapes at the library because they don’t cost any money, unlike if you want to watch a movie you might have to pay 1.00 dollar to 5.00 dollars.
As you can see, I love to go to the Jefferson County Public Library for many reasons but you just heard my top three. The library will always be my favorite place in my hometown and I can rely on it at any time in my life.
